In collaboration with the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota, AWH Architects and Urban Ecosystems are leading a transformative initiative to shape a cutting-edge campus devoted to the care and rehabilitation of wild animals. This visionary project, situated in the scenic landscapes of Grant, Minnesota, embodies our unwavering commitment to ENERGY, SOCIAL, WATER, and REUSE values.

At the core of the WRC Grant project lies a delicate balance – one that harmonizes top-tier medical care for wildlife with the creation of an environment that supports their natural rehabilitation. Rooted in the historic farmstead surroundings, the design seamlessly integrates the charm of the past with the innovation of the future.

Water conservation takes precedence in our design philosophy. Through inventive solutions like rainwater collection and a series of reclamation ponds, we ensure a sustainable water supply for the rehabilitation pools. This conscientious water management not only caters to the center's specific needs but also contributes to the preservation of the local ecosystem.

Our commitment extends beyond water conservation, embracing on-site energy generation and passive strategies. This holistic approach minimizes the environmental footprint of the campus, aligning with our dedication to responsible architecture.

“The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota provides quality medical care and rehabilitation for all injured, sick and orphaned wild animals and shares its knowledge with the people who care about them.” -wrcmn.org
