AWH Architects, proud participants in the transformative journey of Horseshoe Bay Farms, stands shoulder to shoulder with a dedicated team led by Ten x Ten Landscape Architecture and Urbanism. The mission: crafting a master plan that transcends preservation, embraces sustainability, and cultivates a vibrant hub for community, culture, and learning.

Horseshoe Bay Farms, since its agricultural genesis in 1917, has radiated energy—a dynamic force that fueled its prominence in Door County. Today, the master plan charts a course for continued vitality, ensuring the Farm serves as a beacon of sustainable stewardship. Powered by innovative practices, the Farm becomes a living testament to responsible energy use.

More than a historic landmark, Horseshoe Bay Farms envisions itself as a Center for Sustainable Stewardship. It aspires to teach by example, fostering a community of learning, culture, and innovation. A hub where history meets celebration, science intersects with art, and the spirit of community is woven into the very fabric of the land.

Situated along the Bay of Green Bay, the Farm understands the profound connection between land and water. The master plan, rooted in sustainable practices, not only preserves this essence but also establishes Horseshoe Bay Farms as a guardian of water resources—a custodian of the delicate balance that sustains life.

Horseshoe Bay Farms, reborn as a 501(c)(3) entity in 2018, symbolizes the power of reuse. The master plan doesn’t merely preserve; it innovates. It charts a roadmap for unique programs and reactivation, breathing new life into the Farm as a vital community space—a space that echoes with the spirit of bygone eras while embracing the needs of the present.
